Accessible Space Inc. (ASI) is a national nonprofit organization providing housing and personal care services to individuals with physical disabilities, seniors and veterans.

Accessible Space is seeking a part time Individualized Home Support Professional (IHSP) in the Anoka County area.  
  
Individualized Home Support Professionals assist individuals in developing independent living skills.

Qualifications: A minimum of one year of successful experience working with individuals with disabilities. One years of successful experience in a related independent position requiring independent judgment and problem solving. Experience and proficiency in all areas of independent living (rental housing, banking, shopping, budgeting, bill-paying, grocery shopping, community integration, etc.).Knowledge of the community, and of community resources for independent living, as well as resources for individuals with disabilities. Excellent written and spoken communication skills and English proficiency. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work respectfully with a diverse range of individuals.

Supporting Qualifications: Education and training in a related field. Experience in evaluating need, developing goals, and measuring goal attainment. Understanding of Medicaid, Social Security, Minnesota Supplemental Aid, HUD Housing guidelines, and waiver eligibility. Familiarity with MS Word, for preparing documents, sending emails.
