Custodian - part time in Las Vegas, NV

Accessible Space Inc. (ASI) is a national nonprofit organization providing housing and personal care services to individuals with physical disabilities, seniors and veterans.

Our beautiful new Spencer Street campus in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Part Time Custodian to perform general cleaning and maintenance of the building and grounds.

Duties will include the use of commercial vacuums. floor buffers, carpet cleaners, etc. to ensure the appropriate maintenance and upkeep of the building, removal of  trash and recycling from building to outdoor receptacles. Perform routine and special cleaning tasks (e.g., removing spots on carpet and upholstery, clean walls, windows, light fixtures, etc.) Refill soap dispensers, towel boxes, etc. as needed.

Qualifications: Minimum of one year of related work experience. Strong aptitude and ability to perform routine buildings and grounds maintenance.  Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with individuals with disabilities Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, in person and by phone. Sufficient visual acuity to read/review documents (on paper and electronically) and the ability to participate in spoken conversations.  Ability to read and follow chemical labels and safety sheets.  Experience in a health care facilities setting a plus.
